National Night Out is an annual community-building campaign that promotes police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie to make neighborhoods safer, better places to live. Neighborhoods turn on their porch lights and spend an evening with their neighbors. Communities also host movies in the parks, ice cream socials, and invite public safety personnel to demonstrate equipment and educate them about public safety.
